Aikido is a unique martial art, blending modern methods with the traditional Japanese concepts. At Bath Aikido Society, we aim to teach this wonderful art in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Our beginners course is designed especially for people with no previous martial arts experience. Over the six classes, you'll be introduced to the core ideas of Aikido. You’ll have the opportunity to train with others who are just starting out, as well as benefiting from the expertise of teachers and senior students.
Regular Aikido training can help improve your fitness, coordination and flexibility, as well as developing situational awareness and building your self confidence.
The course is open to everyone aged 14 and over and is suitable for all abilities. All classes are taught by qualified, highly experienced instructors.
Classes are held on Mondays, beginning on Monday 23 February 2026 at Hedley Hall, Denmark road, Bath, BA2 3RE. The first class will run from 7pm to 9pm, and each subsequent class will run from 7:30 to 9pm.
